About Dr. Cruz

Dr. Cruz focuses on helping people finally understand what their body is doing and how to change it.

Before becoming a chiropractor, he spent several years running 911 calls as a paramedic in Arlington, TX and later worked in the emergency department at Baylor Scott & White Irving. That experience shaped how he views care — many people weren’t lacking treatment, they were lacking clear explanation and a plan they could trust. He became interested in the side of healthcare that helps prevent problems from becoming long-term limitations rather than only responding once they interfere with daily life.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker University. His clinical approach centers on movement assessment and evidence-based decision making. As an SFMA Level 2 certified provider, he evaluates how the body works as a connected system, recognizing that the area of pain is often not the source.

Our philosophy at Evolv reflects that understanding. Depending on the individual, visits may include joint manipulation or mobilization, soft tissue therapy, red light therapy, as well as mobility and strengthening exercises. Equal emphasis is placed on teaching patients how to manage and improve their condition outside the clinic through guided exercise and practical strategies so progress continues between visits and holds up in real life.

Cruz opened Evolv to practice this style of care intentionally — thoughtful, individualized treatment aimed at lasting improvement rather than repeated temporary relief. He particularly enjoys working with active adults and recreational athletes, especially tennis and pickleball players, having grown up playing tennis and now competing in a local pickleball league himself.

The goal is to give you a clear understanding of what’s happening and what needs to change so you can move forward with confidence.

If you’ve been dealing with something that hasn’t fully resolved, the first step is simply a conversation to see whether this approach is appropriate for you.
